I bought the company’s mesh fire pit with a simple cooking grate last year. I was bemoaning not finding a proper grilling grate to fit it. Now I found this to complete the set up. I can grill and heat with open fire not limited to just one grill surface. This grate is heavy, not really for backpacking unless you don’t mind carrying weight. It can be used positioning between two rocks above fire though on its own. If you get two of these, the whole area above the mesh can be a cooking/grilling surface.
